About D.A.G Services Ltd
Director Des Haley established the company in 2000, after spending a decade with Honeywell Control Systems as a Senior Building Services Engineer and Facilities Manager.
Des had been involved in various long term contracts with Honeywell and finished his time with them as a Facilities Manager, contracted out to Kuwait Petroleum in Staines, Middlesex.
From the knowledge gained and experience accumulated, Des’ vision was to start a niche company which would be focused on customer care, delivery and long term satisfaction within the Building Services and Facilities Management sector.
Since that early start, D.A.G Services Ltd has become the “Big Little Company” you’ve probably never heard about. The main reason for this is, for many years we didn’t advertise, purely trading with individuals and installation companies. Over this time we found that our customer retention was very high which was put down to a passion for customer care. On inspection from us and consultation with our clients we found our engineers would always put themselves out to satisfy our clients. In some cases this meant returning to a client’s premises after the day’s work was done or working late to get the project completed on time and on cost.
Many of our clients were foreign dignitaries, VIP’s who didn’t want publicity, and top quality care homes where the broad range of requirements required tact and skill. The result of this was that our engineer’s skill set needed to be extremely diverse. They needed to be both Mechanical and Electrical, covering a wide range including commercial kitchens, laundries and boiler rooms as well as domestic boilers, control panels and internal lighting. Finding the right candidates for such work was always tricky and required detailed assessments, training and lots of customer awareness and care. Maintaining high standards required a lot of training, personal study and experience. This is why we at D.A.G Services Ltd undertake training all year round. This includes formal engineer and manufacturers technical courses, with the engineers being responsible for their own Continual Professional Development (CPD) plan. Along with this regular Safety, Health Environment and Quality meetings are undertaken. The result of this diligence can today be seen in a strong client base throughout the south of England and the midlands as well as being members of internationally recognised accreditations such as Investors in People, ISO9001, CIBSE, BIFM, Safe Contractor and Gas Safe.
